It has become clear that we will be unable to effectively host an event of this size and scope in October and still provide a positive experience for our runners. The inaugural Chandler #AZ48 Marathon has been postponed to Sunday, October 24, 2021.

So what does that mean to you as a registered runner?

Your registration will automatically be deferred to the new date: Sunday, October 24, 2021.

What if you cannot attend the new date?

  • You may Transfer to Virtual for this event. Please remember that the medal will be revised to 2021 and the shirt and all other swag will be the same for next year's race. If you'd like to run next fall, please hold on to your entry. We plan to begin shipping the virtual entries in mid-February 2021.
  • You may sell your entry and Transfer to Another Racer. If you're not a virtual racer, or your plans will have changed by next fall, we've also opened the open this option. Once you find someone to buy your entry from you, they need to complete the Transfer Entry Form on our website.
  • And if you just want a way out of the event, we have set up the Transfer Request List for this event. While we can't offer direct refunds, we will issue credits to people on this list (in the order the requests are made) as new entries come in. It's sort of an internal transfer thing.

Several of you have taken advantage of the hotel room block at the Crowne Plaza. They are creating a new block for 2021, so just contact them directly to make the changes you need.
